The detailed design project of the Treated Wastewater Distribution System (TSE) for the Green Riyadh Program - Group 5 includes the detailed design of the new treated wastewater distribution network, which is a prerequisite for the implementation of the Green Riyadh initiative through the provision of irrigation water. Providing irrigation water in appropriate quantities and quality an essential component of the implementation of the Green Riyadh Initiative. Treated wastewater is the main source of irrigation water, which is transported from the three wastewater treatment plants of the National Water Company: Manfuha, Heet and Al Ha'ir via main lines to users in the Riyadh metropolitan area. The major components of the detailed design of the TSE (Central-East) Wastewater Distribution System include the following components:

• - Strategic concrete tank with a capacity of 185,000 m³ at Ministry of Health site, and a capacity of 310,000 m³ at City Park and a capacity of 180,000 m³ at Zoo facility.
• -New pumping station at the site of Ministry of Health with a total capacity of 29,416 m³/hour.
• -There are (3) pumping stations at the zoo site:
  • 1-Pumping station at the zoo facility up to King Salman Park, with a total capacity of 8,024 m³/hour.
  • 2-Pumping station at the zoo facility to the city park with a total capacity of 5,342 m³/hour.
  • 3-Pumping station at the zoo is affiliated with the Ministry of Health, with a total capacity of 15,332 m³/hour.
• - Pumping station at the city park site with a total capacity of 19,289 m³/hour.
• -Study of the existing pumping station at the Manfuha treatment plant site.
• - The main line is 21.5 km long from the pumping station at the Zoo site to the strategic reservoir at the King Salman Park site, the main line is 20.5 km long from the pumping station at the Zoo site to the strategic reservoir at the Ministry of Health site, and the main line is 18 km long from the pumping station at the zoo site to the strategic reservoir at the city park site. The diameters of the main lines range from (1200-1600 mm) and are made of (Carbon Steel).
•  - Secondary lines branching from the main lines with a length of 430 km and diameters ranging from (150-1000 mm) and made of (Ductile Iron).
• - The secondary line branching from the main line linking the connection point S1, S2 (existing line) to the King Salman Park site, the secondary line branching from the main line linking the King Salman Park site to the city park, the secondary line branching from the existing line S1, S2.
• - Intake basins.
• - Pressure equalization tank.
• - Pumping booster stations.
• - Connections of secondary lines to main lines or tanks/water tanks.
