Providing design and engineering services, reviewing designs for various construction and civil projects of the Zakat Authority. Which includes and requires design of parts of the required new operational work and the necessary rehabilitation and renovation works. Providing engineering services to review the outputs of third-party designs for projects and construction and civil designs, including answering technical inquiries to the third party, reviewing third-party submissions and deliverables, reviewing and giving the necessary approvals for materials, reviewing shop drawings, etc.

Construction and civil projects in this scope of works include, but are not limited to:

New construction projects, rehabilitation and renovation works, including but not limited to:

• - Construction structures for transportation projects (such as bridges, tunnels and ferries).

• - Construction structures of buildings (such as awnings, warehouses, stores).
• - Structures other than buildings (e.g. fences, inspection rooms, lifting stations).
• - Soil and water structures (such as reservoirs and retaining walls).
• - Concrete works.
• - Metal work.

New civil projects, rehabilitation and renovation works, including but not limited to:

• - Transportation projects (such as roads, helipads, parking lots).
• - Footpaths.
• - Traffic study and analysis.
• - Excavation works (such as digging, backfilling, grading, leveling).
• - Geotechnical engineering.
• - Hydrological and hydraulic designs and studies.
• - Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) (e.g. Environmental Impact Assessment for Burn and Damage Areas).

Site previews and tests which include but not limited to:

• - Study and evaluation of the current situation.
• - Civil inspections and tests (such as probing works, test drilling, and required laboratory and field tests).
• - Environmental tests (eg drilling for chloride, sulfate, phosphate, ammonia and nitrate).
• - Structural tests (such as concrete tests and pavement samples testing).
