About This Project+

1: The project will provide a new Sewage treatment plant (Extended Aeration system) beside the existing Plant to treat domestic sewage with capacity 30,000 m3/day (average) and peak flow 48,000 m3/day serving of population (136,000).

2: Al-kharj Sewage treatment plant includes (Inlet works, Par shall flume, Grit and Grease tank, Selector tank, Carousel Bio Reactor, Final Settling tank, Return Activated sludge, Tertiary Treatment Plant, Effluent Chlorine Contact tank, Sludge Dewatering, Sludge Silos and Odor Control System).

3: Auxiliary buildings are (Generator Building, Control Building, Chlorination Building and Electrical Sub-stations.

4: The effluent treated water may become a more important source of unrestricted irrigation. The Sludge drying system used in the new plant will produce a stable membership deposits of low water content that may dealt with and transfer easily.

5: Reducing the environmental impacts of this plant was one of the main design basics. Adequate precautions during the operation of the plant may minimize these effects.
